Thin and wide shapes provide stability and wind range with added length for easy planing. Also includes a carry handle, insert positions for beginners, intermediates and experts, a center-fin box for upwind traction and a large EVA deck for comfort.
They are available in six sizes and in Starboard’s exclusive 3DX construction that’s crisper and stiffer than other boards in its price segment.
ROCKERLINE
Just like on the CarveIQ, the zero tail kick rocker provides the easiest, smoothest entry in planing. Just hop on, sheet in and go fast. With reduced thickness comes a sharp, more race-like sensation and control in higher winds.
OUTLINES
The GO are roughly 250 cm long. The added length allows you to get planing passively and easily without having to bear downwind or pump to get going. The length also provides longitudinal stability, makes tacking easier due to the added volume in the nose and gives the GOs glide in light wind conditions.
FULL EVA DECK
The deck has a large soft EVA finish, comfortable for your feet, knees and elbows. You get the grip without the cuts or rashes. The EVA deck is raised above the edges of the board to allow the water to flow freely around the board and jibe smoothly without drag.
FREERIDE POWER
The GO boards are delivered with Drake Freeride Power CNC G-10 fins with a thin tip for more speed and better lift control. The upright rake and thick base provide maximum stability and traction for all sail sizes.
CENTER FIN
All models are now fitted with a centre fin that helps you keep upwind and provides extra stability as you learn to windsurf. Remove the centre fin, fit the plug in and you have a full performance freeride board.
CARRY HANDLES
The GOs also feature a nose carry handle, making them easy to carry for kids. They also feature a center carry handle for easy carrying under arm by an adult.
3DX
The GOs are available in our innovative 3DX construction. 3DX stands for three dimensional biaxial glass microsandwich construction. Both deck and bottom are wrapped in 45 degree biaxial glass fiber wetted out with an expanding foam epoxy cured under high pressure. The biaxial glass gives a crisp, stiff feel with flex for choppy conditions. The foam epoxy creates a 2mm skin thickness for a microsandwich effect: tough and strong.
